Departure from Argostoli
Argostoli has been the capital of the Kefalonia Region since 1757. It’s a modern city with a remarkable historical and cultural tradition. Amphitheatrically built around Koutavos Lagoon, Argostoli, overlooks the fir tree-covered mount Aenos.
Visit Melissani Lake
A short tour with a rowing boat in Melissani lake – a wonderful underground lake with majestic stalactites, where some kind of worship of God Pan took place in ancient times. When illuminated by the sun’s rays, the lake waters acquire sublime colourful reflections.
Drogarati cave
Nature’s splendour is manifested in every centimetre of this unique sculpture of earth and rock. Visitors will be awe-struck at the moment they step into this laboratory of nature, where stalactites and stalagmites have been taking shape for thousands of years.
Antisamos beach
Sami is a beautiful town built by the seafront and one of the four major cities comprising the four-state island of Kefalonia. Sami was well-known since Homeric times and later on remained in history for its resistance to the Romans. It is the second biggest port of Kefalonia which connects it with Italy and one of the island’s most important coastal resorts. In 2001 captain Corelli’s mandolin was filmed at Sami and Antisamos beach, respectively. This is our last stop where you can go swimming and enjoy the sun.
