Tour Route:

Drogarati Cave - Melissani Lake – Myrtos (Photo Stop) - Assos - Fiskardo (8 hours)

Departure from Argostoli
Argostoli has been the capital of the Kefalonia Region since 1757. It’s a modern city with a remarkable historical and cultural tradition. Amphitheatrically built around Koutavos Lagoon, Argostoli, overlooks the fir tree-covered mount Aenos.

Drogarati Cave
Nature’s splendour is manifested in every centimetre of this unique sculpture of earth and rock. Visitors will be awe-struck at the moment they step into this laboratory of nature, where stalactites and stalagmites have been taking shape for thousands of years.

Visit Melissani Lake
A short tour with a rowing boat in Melissani lake – a wonderful underground lake with majestic stalactites, where some kind of worship of God Pan took place in ancient times. When illuminated by the sun’s rays, the lake waters acquire sublime multi-coloured reflections.

Photo stop in Myrtos
Myrtos – the most famous beach on the island and one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, with spectacular views and snow-white sands. This is a slice of paradise on earth, protected by high rocks with stunning, crystalline waters ranging from blue-green to deep blue.

Assos Village
Assos is a scenic bay with plenty of photogenic spots. It also offers some great shops, if wandering around and just basking in the beauty of nature isn’t enough.

Cosmopolitan Fiskardo Village, free time
Fiskardo lies 54 Km northeast of Argostoli. It is a beautiful and generally quiet (with the exception of August) town with Venetian houses built around a quaint harbour. Fiskardo largely owes its charm to the fact that it is the only city in Kefalonia not to have been devastated by the earthquake in 1953. It is also a major sailing port.
